Any S-6 / Commo NCOs out there?
I was wondering if there were any former / current Battalion / BDE S-6 or Commo NCOs out there with experience in the intitialization of BFT or EPLRS. units / equipment? I would like to ask how difficult is the initialization process and what problems you encountered with the data product / LDIF that either you produced / amended or one you received from outside your unit. I am an Army contractor seeking ways in which to help the Army shorten and improve this process which currently takes months. (yikes!) Also, what, if any, value / return on investment does BFT / EPLRS bring to a unit vs. the old MSE / FM equipped units of yore? If you wish to simply rail against the systems and or process that would be welcome too. From my vantage point as an ‘old’ Lightfighter BDE Sigo, I cringe that the Army is now so seemingly dependent upon contractors to make their networks work. If this is a false perception on my part, please enlighten me. Any feedback regarding any Army ABCS system would be welcome. Thanks in advance!
