Close Gitmo NOW!
The other day as Scott and I were driving somewhere we got to talking about how the American people are purely ignorant as to what is happening in Gitmo and how awesome it would be to do a story about what really happens down there. See the liberal left would have you believe that we torture and abuse prisoners there, when in fact it is the other way around. These guys are given more opportunities to practice their faith, they eat better, are kept cleaner and overall have a much better view than they do back in their home countries.
Instead of white man-jammies they wear orange jumpsuits. Instead of beating and abusing their wives and kids, they abuse American men and women who serve our country. Men and women who are quickly punished and have their careers ruined if they retaliate. How would you like it if you are bringing very nutritional and faith-correct meals to someone every day and they spit at you, try to choke you, punch at you, save up and throw every bodily fluid and substance imaginable on you? You would be pretty pissed, wouldn’t ya? Well our American fighting men and women are no different, however all they can do is turn the other cheek, walk away and go try to clean themselves up. It is an impossible situation for our military members.
The Red Cross just came back and said everything is fine there and there were absolutely no abuses or human rights issues. These people are being treated beyond what is required. However the current administration wants to close Gitmo, and you know what? I am perfectly fine with that and totally support it. However, the next step is where I differ with the administration. They are taking a year because they want to figure out what to do with these maggots.
I have the answer and I can tell them how we can be out in a year. Send them all back to their countries, in body bags. They can have the detainee camps closed by this weekend. All they need to do is take those prisoners out of their cages, walk them to the beach early in the morning as a sunrise is happening, put them on their knees, have each guard pick out one detainee, and then on one command blow their friggen’ heads off.
Save the money, put it back into the economy, get these Reservists and National Guard soldiers back to their families, all for the cost of a box or two of 9mm bullets, oh a some body bags I guess.
See these people cannot be rehabilitated. They are beyond that. These are not prisoners that went the way of terrorism because they were trying to feed their family like a thief may be motivated by. They are not someone that was abused as a child so they now grow up to rape people because they were not hugged enough. They are (in the words of one of them, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,507625,00.html) terrorists to the bone. There is no rehabilitating them. It is not like they are going to get out and think “oh that sucked I think I will go back home and drive a taxi instead”. If they were released, walked out the front gate to head to the plane home and there was a weapon there, they would turn around and shoot the guard letting them out and yell Allah Akbar at the same time. These people will not, can not, and never will change their ways. There is evidence of this all the time.
Check this one out, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,508506,00.html if you don’t believe me. So far it appears that 18 that have been released have in fact returned to the active fight against us. There are another 43 that are suspected to have also resumed terrorist activities.
There is no changing these people’s minds, so lets get it over with. Should we wait until they go back to their countries and kill a few more of our soldiers and then launch a very expensive combat operation just to kill one down the road? Hell I will even buy the bullets myself and FedEx them to Gitmo. It will cost the Army nothing. In fact I bet I could get readers of this blog to sponsor bullets and buy them. Maybe we could get them engraved with the name of the sponsor first as a fundraiser for the families of our fallen. For a little more money in donation we will even let you buy a bullet/bodybag combo where you could have several lines of text painted on in good old military stencil. You know, something like “With great honor I present back to you, your loved one. Sorry we kept him so long, but you can have him back now. Your friend-Troy” as an example.
So the bottom line is this. I can help the Government save money, I can help the President speed up his campaign promise and I can help maybe save some future soldier’s life on the battlefield. As Mr. Steven Covey would say, this is a win-win for everyone.

This is a slap in the face to military members who died catching these people, and those who have fought on the battlefield to keep our country safe. Since when do terrorists have rights that usurp ours? This country is going to hell and a handbasket, Americans need to wake up and smell the jihad.
The problem is that because some of them returned to battle, there is a problem with the review process and they shouldn’t have been let go. I know that makes me sound like a Bush-hater, but he was in charge at the time.
Think back to Nurenberg. the end result was the same, but no one can claim that the accused didn’t stand trial.
You can’t have it both ways, guys. You can’t claim to be a freedom-loving people at the dispense of justice.

We also shouldn’t take a look at the statistics of those who returned to battle after being let go, and those still remaining in captivity, and believe that Gitmo should be closed so that dangerous people can relocate to a town near us. It is also completely unacceptable to expect military members to gather around and scan the horizon for evidenciary proof to placate the left. These insurgents have been caught on the battlefield, not sitting in a local coffee shop playing dolls with their children. It’s time America is more focused on our safety.
What these detainee call torture is “when in fact it is the other way around. These guys are given more opportunities to practice their faith, they eat better, are kept cleaner and overall have a much better view than they do back in their home countries.”
and the leftist media and others do see this, but we torture the them by giving them what the best of things while Americans are tortures with out these things.
Sorry for the poor English and spellings
OK, Mickey. let’s face it. Its no Hilton. As we are at it, I feel “tortured” because I have to pay for it. Classify them as POW’s and process accordingly. This is a very expensive way to keep prisoners while the government has their thumb up their tush.
