Beware Islam and Shariah Law

This article will show the necessity of understanding Islamic doctrine in the Global War on Terror. Most people know little else about Islam other than what the liberal media teaches, and what is taught in most schools. They learn that Islam is really a good religion, and it is only the “extremists” that cause trouble. This deceit about Islam comes from the “Current Approach” Theory, as described by MAJ Stephen Coughlin in his 333 page thesis entitled “‘To Our Great Detriment’: Ignoring What Extremists Say About Jihad” (link below). Victims of the Current Approach also learn that it is only the extremists that twist Islam into something bad, and Islamic doctrine is no threat. However, this is untrue, and the Current Approach to understanding Islam leaves us unaware of our enemy’s desired end state, which is world domination.

In other words, we have been at war with Muslim “extremists” who are only following mainstream Islamic doctrine for five years, and most people do not understand that it is actual Islamic that doctrine requires all committed Muslims to conquer the world in the name of Islam. Even after more than five years of the War on Terrorism, thanks to the Current Approach, “it is remarkable how little is really known of the enemy’s stated threat doctrine.” (Coughlin, 132) In other words, few recognize that mainstream Islam requires violent jihad from its followers, and anyone who tells us otherwise is attempting to mislead us. This ignorance endangers us, and “if there is one thing that we must learn from The Atrocity [of 9/11] is that we cannot, we dare not, be afraid to learn the true nature of Islam any longer.” (Wheeler, link below) The words of Ayatollah Khomeini, a leading Shia Muslim authority, which comprises more than a third of the Islamic community, shed light on this reality:

“Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those who say this are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Islam says: Kill them, put them to the sword and scatter their armies…. There are hundreds of…(Qur’anic) psalms and Hadiths urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all this mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” (Coughlin, 223)

Coughlin points out in his thesis that to wage any war, we must understand our enemy, and that the Current Approach has grossly mislead us in our attempts to understand the true Islamic doctrine. Research from several sources, including Robert Spencer, Dr. Jack Wheeler, and Stephen Coughlin reveals that true Islamic doctrine is not moderate, and that “extremists” are not extreme and do not misrepresent the Qur’an in their murderous approach of spreading Islamic rule, which is also referred to as Shariah Law. Rather, the simple research shows that “extremists” are merely fulfilling the accepted and Islamic jurist mandated violent pursuit of world domination of Islamic rule. The threat to our society is that Current Approach arguments mislead us as to the intentions of doctrinal Islam. “Islamic law is the legal system extremists emulate and seek to impose when fighting jihad.” (Coughlin, 135) According to Dr. Jack Wheeler, “For al-Rawandi, Islam is an invention for the purpose of providing a religious justification for Arab imperialism. The Conquest is the reason and explanation for Islam, not the other way around.” (link below)

In other words, the extremists are not extreme but are following actual doctrinal Islam, and that Islam is not a peaceful, benign religion. Its devoted followers plan to wage war on everyone non-Muslim until they install Shariah Law across the earth. An easy way to discover current evidence of this is to do an internet search for “shariah law.” Any search on shariah law will reveal amputations, murders, and “honor killings.” No population of any country wants this within its borders. If we ignore the threat, it will soon overtake us.

Islamic texts also show that doctrinal Islam can not accept other religions as valid while maintaining their Islamic credentials. This means to us that followers of doctrinal Islam may make treaties with us and appear to remain “moderate,” but in reality they are only biding time until the doctrinal Muslim community regains strength to resume the violent quest for world domination. Islamic jurists will hold all Muslims accountable for following doctrinal jihad. As for the Islamic jurists, “All conformed to the idea that jihad does not end until the world has been made the dar al-Islam,” which means the world under Islamic law. (Coughlin, 219) The problem, therefore, is not with normal, everyday Muslims. The problem lies with Islam jurists and the imams, who are those who define doctrinal Islam for Muslims.

Using “scholarly consensus” to define what “is in effect…a doctrinal point of Islamic law,” Islamic jurists claim that “This leaves no doubt that the primary goal of the Muslim community, in the eyes of its jurists, is to spread the word of Allah through jihad.” Coughlin states that “religious reconciliation may be beyond Islam’s capability since, as…doing so would be to treat as equal non-Muslims who are going to hell.” (Coughlin, 113) Coughlin also points out that Muslim countries whose constitutions are based on the Koran are only in a state of truce with non-Muslims, and will resume violent jihad once they regain their military strength, because by their constitutions, “no law shall contradict Islamic law.” (Coughlin, 89)

So the Current Approach tells us that Islam wants peace, but then Islamic doctrine imposes strict separation and domination over other religions, as well as violent jihad until world domination is achieved. It is difficult to negotiate with a religion that can not live with, and accept, another.

It is untrue, however, that all Muslims seek world domination. There are many who live in peace and decency with others. For these, the world can accept your peaceful pursuit of your worship. The War on Terror is not against Muslims, but against those who pursue violence. The War on Terror is about protecting innocent people from brutal, violent, tyrannical oppressors. There are some Muslims and Muslim countries who understand moderation. They understand the necessity of living in peace and cooperation without violent conflict. With these, peace is possible.

However, despite apologists and Current Approach theorists, those who follow the rigid doctrine of Islam view themselves in a perpetual war against everything non-muslim, and they consider themselves merely in a period of truce awaiting the return of their military strength so they can continue their quest to dominate the world. This principle of war is as old as war itself: If we do not fully understand the enemy, then the enemy has the advantage.

We must use a more open method of analysis, therefore, than the “Islam is really nice” approach. As shown by Coughlin, Wheeler, and Spencer, those following the true doctrine of Islam desire to conquer us and our way of life. We will not let this happen, however, and those wishing to practice violent Islam will therefore have to find a path to moderation, because the United States will no longer tolerate violence, brutality, or oppression, in the name of Islam or not. It is time to recognize the threat, to look past the Current Approach, and to publish the true nature of doctrinal Islam. For doctrinal Islam, it is time for a new abrogation and a new period of Islam.
