Legislation Fornication

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

The late Dr. Adrian Rogers , 1931 to 2005

One Response to “Legislation Fornication”

  1. Amen to that! I don’t know what this world has gone to. How can anyone feel better about taking from another, especially when it is not offered on its own, but by force. This country was built to afford everyone the opportunity to excel, why would we start punishing those that grabbed the bull by the horns and achieved that? You cannot slam someone for making something of themselves, and doing the right thing. Those people have sought their own rewards for their own endeavers, and should be a model for the “have not’s”…why are we walking away from this basic principle?

Any number of rights of ours are being taken away. They will even come after the parents in this country, and try to take our rights away to teach our children right from wrong. This administration thinks it’s ok for young kids to make decisions about abortions without our consent. They are brainwashing our kids to believe they have a right to go against us, behind us, and over us. What a shame to have to fight for the right to raise your own kids, and make your own decisions. That’s not a democracy to me.
