Good job Mr. President
I will complain when I don’t agree and I will compliment when I do agree. If the President or his administration does something I think is good or in the best interest of this county I will say so. I was not happy when I heard that the President was going to release the additional photos of potential detainee abuse. The second I heard he was going to do that, I said right then that if he did it that our troops would suffer. It served no purpose to release those and would do nothing but cause duress for our military.
So I was very happy and encouraged to see the President change his mind today. I am not sure why he did, but I am sure it had to do with his closest advisers telling him not to listen to his party but instead listen to common sense.
There are some that are still complaining about this decision becuase they say he should have made this decision when first presented with it a few weeks ago, but hey anyone that is willing to be a leader and willing to change their mind when they get more information and not be too hard-headed to say they were wrong is all-right with me.
This is the first time I have been pleased with a decision of his, I hope it is not the last one for the next three and a half years.

I think it was a good call too. And let’s hope that quality of being able to change his mind and do what’s right for the troops in the face of some strong partisan wars will prevail.
While it’s a good reversal, he still should have said no from the get go. And I’m not so sure his motives are good. Time will tell. My gut tells me the photos will be shown anyway, but Obama will come out smelling like a rose, and that will be his sole intention. Color me cynical and pessimistic with this guy!
Those pics have no value outside of sadistic pornography.
The idiots involved have been prosecuted, having done grave harm to the US, the Military, and their fellow troops.
The idiots involved were acting outside of their authority and in a manner contrary to their training.
I have renewed respect for you, Troy. Most folks are dinging him now for changing his mind or direction, but I think leaders should be given the leeway to do so based on new information.
Reminds me of Bush 41 who pointedly didn’t want to raise taxes and then when fiscal responsibility demanded it, he did what he had to do.
