About CJ
CJ is an opinionated Soldier who tells it like he sees it. Growing up a Libertarian, he has very conservative values. He believes in extremely limited government, especially at the federal level. The U.S. Constitution is the source of all his beliefs and a document which he will give his life to defend.
CJ has been in the active duty Army more than 14 years. His assignments include such tropical paradises as Fort Irwin, CA, Fort Stewart, GA, Fort Meade, MD, and Redstone Arsenal, AL. He has been deployed to Panama and Iraq. His biggest accomplishment was getting invited to the White House by President Bush for his writing at A Soldier’s Perspective.
He has been awarded the Bronze Star with V device, Meritorious Service Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4 OLC), Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Combat Action Badge and many other pieces of flair he doesn’t want to brag about. He is married and has three beautiful straight “A” children!
CJ, have you heard of the changes to the military under the Obama admin.? My husband called me after a briefing and told me there would be no more combat pay, that the Army is considered over strength, and that early retirement would be offered, as well as bonuses being taken away. Supposedly these come from milper messages? What say you?
I am very proud of my son and wish him all the best. Don’t ever let the long-faced man with the frown get you down. And as David Crockett said “First make sure you’re in the right, then go ahead.”
Shannon, that’s not true. Sounds like someone is getting a little TOO paranoid. While it sounds like something Obama would absolutely LOVE to do, there’s no way the country would allow that. Plus, Congress wants to get reelected too.
I really enjoy listening to your podcast and stand with you. I wish both Troy and you the best. Thank you for your service.
