We Have Issues

And I’m not talking about the Korn album!

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has announced a new million-dollar scholarship program to help Palestinian students enroll at Palestinian and American universities.

What the hell is wrong with this country? This country is going down the tubes. Americans are foreclosing on their homes, unable to repay their student loans, unable to get loans period, and we’re paying out million-dollar scholarships so that Palestinians can attend OUR SCHOOLS?!?! And don’t think this is part of the $900 million that was part of the Stinkulus package. Oh no, this is EXTRA! Joy!! I have an idea, let’s fund some AMERICANS’ education with MY tax money! I’m sorry, but I can’t imagine that most Americans support sending Palestinians to school instead of Americans.

Every time I see another expenditure of MY freakin’ tax money, I get more and more angry. A revolution is coming and when you piss off the Texans, get out of the way. We don’t appreciate getting abused by our government and having our taxes wasted on foreign citizens. Actually, we don’t like our tax money wasted period.

The four-year program will support about 10 scholarships each year for disadvantaged students to attend four-year courses at Palestinian universities. The program will also offer 25 “opportunity grants” to enable promising but disadvantaged young Palestinians to apply to American-accredited institutions in the United States or the Middle East.

Basically, we’re now going to arm AND educate the terrorists responsible for killing Americans and Israelis. And we’re not even done with the first 100 days! I shiver to think how we can further run this country into oblivion. Do we really hate ourselves that much? I wonder how many homeless, uneducated veterans we could use that money on…

  1. I’m not sure where you got that the Palestinians themselves were the terrorists. Hamas is a terrorist organization. The more that they are allowed to educate the Palestininians, the less you can be sure of the outcome. On that note, we’ve spent a lot of money rebuilding Iraqi schools, which I think has contributed positively to the situation. I’m sure some of the attendees will be/have been insurgents, but I don’t think you can argue the overall postitive affect.

  2. I know enough has been outlined under Obama, and his clan, for me to not be surprised by this…but I am. What the hell is wrong with these politicians? They are a bunch of spend happy idiots that cannot slow down for one minute and ask the American public what we think before they start blowing our money. We have enough problems in this country, yet we keep wanting to fund other countries issues. You want an abortion in Bangladesh, we’ll pay for it. You want contraceptives in Malaysia, we’ll pay for it. You want an education, we’ll pay the bill. Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Hamas is a dangerous terrorist organization that is all over Palestine, and we shouldn’t be aiding them in any way shape or form. Let Iran, their long standing friend, and monetary supporter, help them out. Does anyone realize the level of hatred that is being spread to Palestinians via Hamas? http://www.babelmed.net/Countries/Palestine/hamas%C3%A2_new.php?c=3133&m=26&l=en

These characters are teaching Palestinian children to hate Israel at a young age, indoctrinating them into a hate filled life, and we want to aid them? This administration obviously doesn’t care about our ties to our allies, as they have snubbed the Brits and are now working at snubbing the Israeli’s. Liberalism will be the downfall of this country, both morally and monetarily.

  3. I read about this not long ago. My first thoughts were “What the hell are they thinking?” A Day later, I’m wondering if Obama and the whole liberal gang really are that stupid OR WHAT IS THEIR MOTIVES BEHIND THIS? It can’t be to make them like us….we know they never will. I want to know their hidden motives!!!

Britain tried that and they have failed miserably. Shannon is absolutely right. These people are taught this evil hate crap from infant age.
Here is an article with pictures titled: “Returning British Troops Greeted by Muslim hate.”

Every country that has tried this is failing….and ours will to if we don’t put a stop to it. Me personally I don’t want any jihadi’s welcomed into my country for anything except to execute them!

  4. Amen Twana. What we are seeing here and in Europe is the inability, or lack of want, to offend any muslims. The “nice one’s” will be offended if we use a label, but we don’t hear them speak out when there is a wife beheaded, or a child has acid thrown on them, or an attack is planned. We need to be able to go against the groups that are out of control. The moderate muslims need to understand that we will not cherry pick terms and issues in which to speak out against. We are against the muslims that lean towards terroristic views, not all of them as a whole.

What really chapped my hide was the radical muslims in London who protested the return of British troops a few days ago. They were not arrested for their threats and foul protesting, but those Brits that protested against their hate speech were arrested. Just what is this world coming to when you afford free speech rights to terrorists, but NOT to those who oppose them? It’s getting out of hand and Britain will be the first to fall, if they don’t catch themselves and hold true to their real values.

  5. I also heard something about American money going to Hamas to help rebuild what Israelis destroyed while trying to protect their country…. what is that about?

  6. Actually, its probably the best use of the money that I can see – education.
Perhaps you’d be happier with Hamas educating them?

  7. So, David, you’re telling me that it’s now the job of the United States to educate the world’s children?! Is that really where we’ve gotten? Where in our Constitution is that legal, implied, or even justified? If we don’t want Hamas educating those children, then we get rid of Hamas. If we can’t justify getting rid of Hamas, then we can’t justify not letting us educate them.

  8. Not at all, CJ. My first remarks ( on top) are more relevent in that. Money spent on education (if we were going to spend any money at all) is better then money spent to rebuild a building. All this while Hamas is probably getting ready to fire more rockets into Israel. I’m open to any idea of getting rid of Hamas. But you can’t get around the fact that the country that holds itselft as the defender of Democracy can’t be-head a democratically elected leadership just because it makes dumb use of its rockets.
